Need help with Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria
#1
I bought this game on ebay, it was a second hand product.
There were only a few scratches on the disk, it looks like brand new and in excellent condition. But when I tried to burn in into a iso file Daemon tools appeared to be "disk read error", by the time I didn't think it should be a big problem, so I cleaned the disk with a tissue and made the iso again, this time it successfully made the iso without any errors.
Now I am in Chapter 3, whenever I go to a new map or something like that the game just freezes, and it said something like "tlb miss add=0x64 ...." in the console.

I tried the stable version 0.9.6, r1888 and the newest r24xx, still the same.
I went back and read the game from the disk directly, still the same result.

Now I am just curious, could that be a disk problem? Should I buy a brand new one instead? Again, this disk looks "really new" but with some scratches only, if this is the problem with the disk then probably I will not buy any second hand disk again since they are so easily breakable ...

if you're in Surt Volcanic Caverns then you're in deep trouble..and that's a knowned crushes...use save states then keep trying until you pass though crushes.

i already posted there.

Well, I am in Villnore right now.
I reproduced the iso file again, now I even encounter the same problem in previous maps ....
Wouldn't that be a faild disk problem?

nope it's not the disk it's the emulator i'm sure of it..there are fewer crushes in some maps but the worse is in Surt Volcanic Caverns.
be sure you back-up like normal saves and save states.

Ehrm, what known crashes? Do you mean the ones I didn't get a single time when playing through this game?

Just make sure you have all speedhacks off, they tend to break this game.

Well, I play the save with a lot of money from the beginning ... downloaded it online ... lol (Just can't spend too much time on this game)

here is the save, try to go right and have some battles, this can also happen to me in the ancient forest ... the mine ... and the temple.

Everything is set to default in PCSX2, speed hack off.
