Need to know if I can run Digital Devil Saga and the Raidou Kuzunoha games
#1
I'm finally getting the following computer soon:

Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel i3-2120 3.3 Ghz
Nvidia GT 520
4 GB RAM

I've heard these specs can play Persona 3 and 4 well (provided I stay close to native resolution, which I planned on doing anyway), but I was wondering how well I can run the Digital Devil Saga games especially.

I heard they are CPU intensive, and since I know the graphics card is low end, I planned on staying at native resolution (seriously, I don't mind native resolution and in some cases prefer it).

That said, can I run DDS 1 and 2 well without significant frame drops (and run it around 55-60 fps), or even on this setup are there some areas of the game that will run slow no matter what I do?

And, for that matter, does the MTVU speedhack provide any benefits?

I'm somewhat less worried about the Raidou games, but if they will run well on this setup as well, that would be nice to know.

Yeah I recon they will both play fine, they are CPU intensive but that 3.3 Ghz i3 should have no problems with all the games you mentioned.

They should play fine Tongue2

Wait, is it Graphics Card Nvidia GT 520M or not. Well, if its Mobile series then better keep it at Native. Smile

MTVU Hack may/may not help. It tries to use another core/thread(if hyper-threaded)

Some tips before hand:
  • You need to keep the Windows Power Plan to High Performance
  • Changing the Round and Clamp Modes to nearest and none sometimes help.
  • Speedhacks are your friend if you have a bit if slowdown (remembder IF)

And you should get those games working.
Good Luck Smile

I have a GT 520 (not the laptop version) with 1 GB RAM (DDR3 unfortunately)

BTW, thanks for the advice! Smile
