what games?

some games have enhanced libcrypt with subchannel protection, many dvd-rom drives cannot read this directly (and not all DVD-RW can either)

If you have a good PC, Xebra/Arbex are where it's at.

They are so good it feels like playing on the real thing(Accuracy based Emulator). And it still manages to look great to my eyes. Unlike Native PS2

If you want Graphics enhancements(Which honestly with PS1 games, unless they are full 3D don't go a long way IMO)
use PCSX-R or EPSXE.
