That GPU should support pixel shaders 2...you can't use DX9 hardware mode? If not it's time to upgrade it

that really sucks a desktop computer with graphics on board, if it was a laptop that would be sort of normal.

Hey guys
I have a Core 2 Duo E8400 and it says that it cannot detect sse4.1. Is that normal? I thought E7xxx+ is supposed to have sse4.1, which I thought would include E8400, not sure though.

I have the same processor and it works/detects it correctly. Probably some bug of your motherboard

hmm, I'm not sure how to fix that

anyway, how is the emulator supposed to behave if I use the sse4.1 gsdx plugin on a machine that actually does not support sse4.1?
Is it supposed to crash, give some error message or anything? Is it supposed to work at all? Because for me sse4.1 plugins seem to work perfectly (even though it says "not detected" at startup), although I'm not seeing any noticable difference compared to, say gsdx ssse3.

it should give out a message saying that your cpu doesn't support sse4.1 Smile and then crash Tongue

if your cpu does not support sse4.1 and you use gsdx 4.1 i think you will get error message

and if it's saying that sse4.1 is not detected but the sse4 plugin is working then it's probably that you have to check your motherboard (like it happened to some other guy a few days ago Tongue), if you check with cpu-z it might not detect it either Smile, so it could just be that you need pc bios update Smile
