RE: OC'ed PS2?
I'm still unclear on the benefit of this, are you getting more fps with less hardware or what? I know certain games like mgs3 are too much for the real ps2, but I thought pcsx2 ran them just fine

RE: OC'ed PS2?
The benefit is that when your PC is plenty fast, you can emulate a higher clocked PS2.
This PS2 can run games at better performance than the real console does.
Games feel snappier, have less loading times, drop less often below their target frame rate.

It'd be particularly obvious in Shadow of the Colossus for example. This title was meant to drop
as low as 10FPS on the real console, based on how much is going on.
With an overclocked PS2 this wouldn't happen, since there's always enough processing power available to the game.

But how about the FPS? Does the frame limiter works in this situation?

Frame limiter works anyway. This means FPS won't drop down no mater how heavy rendered scene is.

Ah, so smoother animation in games like SOTC? Sounds good to me! What's the ETA on this hack anyway? Or v1.0 for that matter? Wink

Perhaps it could be a feature that is coded in for people further down the line in a few years.

So of course it's hardly priority.

Yeah it's probably not going to be very useful till Haswell and AVX2 comes along and even then it's pushing it.
