Optimal settings for Silent Hill 2?
#1
Hello all!

I am trying to get Silent Hill 2 (NTSC version) to run at around 60 FPS. Even on DX11 Software Mode I hit a maximum of around 20 FPS (James is running through water). On DX11 Hardware mode, i'm hitting 30 to 45 FPS tops in wide open areas (45-52 FPS in more confined areas) and the frame-rate is choppy at best..

Below are my system settings and current plugins/PCSX2 setup.

System Settings Wrote:OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: AMD A8-3500M APU
RAM: 6 GB
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6620G

PCSX2 Settings Wrote:BIOS: USA v02.20 10/02/2006

Please, if there is anything I can do in order to achieve a smooth gameplay experience, I would love to hear your advice about it.

get a powerful CPU and you're good.

CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go
