Overclocking Question
#1
Allo.

I was wondering, is it possible to overclock a CPU when the Motherboard BIOS are locked?

I bought a prebuilt computer from BestBuy and made several upgrades to it. I am currently running 1.7V through a 3.0 ghz * 4 CPU, and can't lower the voltage due to the BIOS being hidden. Is there any way I can take advantage of this situation or am I cursed to live with an underpowered CPU and high temps?

Check the site for modded bios. That's the only way other than opening it up and messing with the hardware itself.

Just be carefull, if you increase too much the FSB then you are going to need more volts, so BSOD Tongue, read a little bit before trying to overclock your processor Smile
