PCSX 1.0 Question
#1
Good Evening World,

I know you get tired of people asking the question as far as requirements go, but i happen to be curious to if my computer would be acceptable to run the PlayStation 2 emulation decently if not good based on the settings.

The rig that I'm currently running is
Windows 7 64 Bit Professional
AMD Phenom II X4 925 Processor 2.8 GHZ
8 Gigs of DDR 3 1333 PC3 10666
5 Terabyte 3 Harddrives ( Not that it matters)
Radeon HD 5770 128 Bit DDR 5 PCI Express 2.1 X16 1 Gig Graphics Card

The other thing that i'm wondering about is if my setup is utilizing a Quad-Core then how come i cant use SSE4 instead of SSE2 or would those happen to be only for I Core based processors?

Your help is appreciated as the time comes around. Thanks in Advance.

AMD and pcsx2 can go up to SSE2(expect AMD-FX)

please note that the SSE's spelling is very tight.
SSE3 is not SSSE3
SSE4a is not SSE4.1

and what i know AMD is a low cpu-speed engine per core than intel.

Hmm, so the best way to get best results is by to purchase a I5 or I7?

for i5 is a fine choice for me...my i5 is already 1.6 yr. old and i already enjoyed decent speeds.
for i7 i can't gurantee it due to hi-heat temperatures concern.

edit+hint:
in our country there are only fewer i7 on our markets because "nobody" is buying that i think those ppl here already studied safety concerns on PC.

high heat ***** what ???

in any I7 just disable HT and you got an I5 ( marketing tool )

and any I3 is just an I5 dual core

i am speaking of 2ed and 3rd gen ofc
