PCSX-2 muffled/crackling sound

I started playing kingdom hearts 2 once again and am about 8 hours into the game with no problems. I saved and quit for the night and when i came back the same area which previously had no problems now has muffled and crackling sound. Anyone have any experience with this?

And I am dumb but will leave my stupidity on the forums in case noone else catches it. I hadn't come back to play the game in a couple weeks but when i did it was muffled crackly... but that is the way the steamboat willy world is suppose to be. Well so there's that haha.

Lol, I'm glad this is mentioned. I do not own this game yet but eventually I will buy it. This is helpful to know.
