PCSX2 0.9.4 crashes on controller setup
#1
Hi,

I downloaded the program, am following the Configuration guide, got my bios installed. Start up PCSX2 and run it in TLB mode as i don't feel like logging off to give it more ram, open up the configuration, try to configure my controller to use the keyboard and i get this:

If i attempt to click on any of the buttons to actually assign a key the program immediately crashes. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

First wrong section, this belongs to the official releases forum.
For controls,I suggest you use the Lilypad plugin, grab it from here (latest is 0.9.7):

Hey, thanks for the reply.

Yea, i realized i had posted in the wrong section after the fact. Sorry, have been reading forums from all over trying to get this program to work and am going cross eyed.

Unfortunately Lilypad fixed the crashes, however its still not showing properly in the program. All i have are the buttons showing different letters of the alphabet, when i click on them it still will not allow me to assign keybinds to whatever those buttons are suppossed to represent on a controller.

Also when i attempt to load any ISO that i have all i'm getting is configure.cnf not found error's, and the main PS2 page asking me to please insert a Playstation one or Playstation 2 disk. I'm about to give up on this program and just go dig my PS2 out of storage and set it up again as all i'm running into are problems with it.

Sounds like you are misconfiguring both Lilypad and PCSX2...
To configure lilypad properly follow the instructions in the thread above.
For PCSX2,follow this guide:

Ok, you were right, i went back and checked and Lilypad was not configured properly, i now have that configured, however i'm still getting the system.cnf error. I've checked and double checked and i have PCSX2 configured properly, using the correct gfx settings etc. It just won't run my iso's off my hard drive for whatever reason.

Edit: Here's a copy of a Screen shot of my configuration.

So your game is in an ISO file? Because if you're trying to run it directly from a DVD,you are using the wrong CDVD plugin...

Indeed if you get that message with an ISO file,it is most probably a corrupt one.Dump it again
