The crash could be related to an hardware instability issue. My GPU/catalyst used to hard-lock my PC, it was on issue on the idle state (voltage or frequency was too low). Try to overclock a bit your GPU, it won't go down to the idle state but at least you will be able to see. On my side, in the end I flash my bios but it consumes much more power

Hi, i have pretty much the same problem (pcsx2 freezes when i start a game).
Installed with ppa, default plugins (ZZ Ogl PG 0.4.0, CDVDnull Driver 0.6.0), computer hardware is ok because pcsx2 works fine on windows. I remember having some problems with playOnLinux for some nvidia drivers. here's the output of ldd /usr/lib/games/pcsx2/libGSdx-0.1.16.so Code: linux-gate.so.1 => (0xf76fc000)

Please make a seperate thread as there could be different reason. Please note CPU, GPU, proprietary or open source driver, and if your distro is 32 or 64 bit. LDD output looks fine. Also...ZZogl tends to be stubborn. Killing it and attempting to restart a few times usually fixes the problem. I don't know why, but at least it works.
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit (occasional Antergos/Arch user)
(I am no longer a Windows user) CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti |
