I choose to save it where the game's .iso is and i pick uncompressed

Right,if path is already set and you don't set it again,it will save the wav in the pcsx2 directory,the video in the set path but the avi will be file with no extension

too bad. gotta be something wrong with the file access rights. it's actually impossible not to write anything. the recorder's writer is independant from windows. the only bugs i found are it's crashing on rgb32 uncompressed output. and it's not reallocating the file or resize it if you record a smaller into an existing larger video file. and that obvious issue when repathing the file. o_O

If you have an nVidia GPU, you can try ShadowPlay (now has a desktop capture feature), and you can do it that way if need be.
