PCSX2 Running at unplayable speeds.

Hello! I installed PCSX2, and am trying to play Ratchet & Clank. However, it's going so slowly once there's any kind of demand for memory, it's rendered unplayable. Here is the Program Log from PCSX2:

It seems to me that I should be fully capable of running this emulator - does anyone have any idea about what I can do to increase speeds? Maybe a way to allocate more memory to PCSX2? Or do I just need abandon this idea altogether? Any help would be appreciated!

software mode, 3 threads. hit F9 to activate software mode

@Saiki That didn't really do much. F9, then the game would run a bit quicker for a second, and then right back to lagging horribly.

Are you using iso?

You have a 4 core processor so you should try the MTVU speedhack that allow pcsx2 to use up to 3cores, you should try activating also the ther speedhacks.

Your GPU is not very strong so you should also check if it's limiting your framerate: download a GPU monitoring tool like GPU-z and control the GPU usage while playing in hardware mode, if it's very near to 100% then the GPU is your problem. If you're the graphic plugin in DirectX9 switch to DirectX10, otherwise switch to DirectX9 and see if it helps. If it doesn't help you have to: change your GPU or use software mode overclocking a little the CPU (but only if you know what you're doing, otherwise it can be dangerous to the CPU...).
