The Wii optical disc is somewhat proprietary, however most are based on DVD5 technology. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is based on DVD9 technology.

I checked and found that MGS2, GOW1 & 2 are also DVD9 but they worked. Not sure if that the problem. is there any settings that I may need to configure?
