I will try again.
Don't worry, your english is perfectly understandable! But it certainly can be difficult for us non-native speakers...
Anyway, thanks for trying

Not that I know of. Maybe these games are so difficult to patch because they are ports of PC games and hence different. Here's what I've written back in 2014 regarding Unreal Tournament:
Quote:Besides failing to find a memory patch I changed the FOV setting in the config files (bNoCheating=False and bAllowFOV=True in PSX2GAME.INI, then DesiredFOV=99.000000 and DefaultFOV=99.000000 in PSX2USER.INI), but unfortunately the game doesn't seem to respect these settings.
This game uses the Unreal Engine 1 as well as Deus Ex and Rune: Viking Warlord which haven't been patched yet, so if someone finds a hack for UT it should be easy to patch the other two games as well.
On the PC, after adjusting the FOV by changing the above config settings or using console commands, apparently the aspect ratio is set by choosing the resolution. Just for testing purposes I tried changing FullscreenViewportX=640, FullscreenViewportY=448 in PSX2GAME.INI as well, but it doesn't work either...
[...] found something that affects the FOV (search for 2118 7000 803F 013C 0000 8144 2128 in SLUS_200.34), but it also messes up the graphics...
EDIT: Wait... isn't Twin Caliber (the PAL only on-rails shooter) also using Unreal Engine 1? There's a patch for it in the archive, by arapapa

comment=Widescreen hack by Arapapa
I appreciate your quick response. I'm guessing Manhunt 1 doesn't have the same thing? I know it has built in widescreen as well, but also there is a widescreen hack for it. I'm trying to get it to work with Codebreaker but its not working for me. I wonder if I could test the pnach file for Manhunt 1 on ps2 emulator to make sure it is working.
I don't suppose you could also test out Ratchet: Deadlocked on an actual ps2, could you? I've tried the current patch by Psxfan and it doesn't seem to work for me.
Tested using codebreaker, even keeping the last 2 lines the same, the force built-in widescreen...
And the game loads up fine. I checked the game settings and the widescreen settings are already set to "ON", but unfortunately, as soon as you try to enter the main game hub, it freezes.
It might be just me, but perhaps someone else could take a look?
