Please help find the pnach to changes the game resolution to 480p (or any other higher than 240i) in game "SLUS_213.70.Megaman X collection"

this on a ps2?  Try using a .cht cheat file with open ps2 loader, if it still fails, try the pal version.  You have to scroll a few pages back but I got the controls and widescreen working with DMC 3 Special Edition PAL, because NTSC didn't work.

Yes, on ps2. I use .cht cheat file whith open ps2 loader, I tried PAL and NTSC version, but does not work.

Suikoden III NTSC

For whatever reason i can't get the widescreen patch to work for this game.
Going widescreen just stretches the image as though no patch is applied.

I've tried other games and it works just fine on those, it's not my system.
I am set up correctly, generally speaking (as far as i know).

All the Youtube videos of Suikoden III playing on PCSX are also stretched..
And google searching returns no other questions from people about this...

So i'm kinda stumped?
If anyone has any clues on this i'd appreciate it greatly, as i'd love to run my current playthrough on widescreen.

Maybe your backup has another CRC, just check if the CRC of your game is the same as the one of the widescreen archive that is named cheats_ws in the emulator folder, to check your game CRC look in the Console log for something like this in blue font "ELF (cdrom0:\....) Game CRC = 0xXXXXXXXX," where the Xs are the game CRC.

The pnach file for Suikoden III also says 5F3DD929.pnach

[And the log does always show that 2 hacks were loaded on startup successfully]
