using DX10?

it sounds like the GPU is having issues perhaps. What is the video memory on your 8600GT?

Ouch! GS only reaches 20-40%. and it ain't an 8600GT, It's a GT240, Nope, Is it the directX version you are asking? Then I'm using DX11. my config for PCSX2 is using GSDXSSE3 and configured on Hardware directX 10.

20-40% indicates the issue isn't in the GS emulation, it doesn't mean the gpu is the limit.

Well, in all fairness, that GT 240 would be considerably weaker than Saiki's 8600GT (assuming his is not DDR2, as well). You could also note that ReIyZa's RAM is considerably slower, and could make a bit of an impact here.

another thing to check is the Skipdraw hacks default setting. this almost always used to be 3 but some have reported it defaults to 0 which is a problem for many games (XenoSaga cause of shadowy lines, slowdown in certain other games)

Ouch.... I thought I've already bought a good GPU for my rig.. It's hard to buy a GPU in place far from my town, because I have budget restraints. Computer stores here in our area sucks.. the strongest GPU they can offer is only a GT440 and a GT240 1gig/128bit DDr3, which is both overpriced. I'm a bit disappointed with my current GPU.

GT 240 (even the slowest one) is faster than 8600GT.

The biggest bottleneck for PCSX2 is the CPU and I gotta say 1.8-2.2Ghz unless in an i5/i7 is not really enough for most games.
I see Saiki says he can get 60% speed in Tekken 5 (~36FPS in NTSC) but ehr... I wouldn't call that close to playable on a fighting game...

But as you say it may be the max you can get in your CPU, and if you find that playable well go ahead (slowdowns to 50FPS is not that bad for RPG Tongue2)
