I managed to get PCSX2 running on my Dell Inspiron Mini 1018, but it runs at 16 FPS. I was shocked it even worked, but any way to get it running somewhat faster? Like, using speedhacks and frameskipping so it is a bit faster? I'm just doing this because I wanted to see how fast I can get it. I used a game called "Monsters, Inc." which isn't awfully demanding, and it runs pretty slow, but semi-playable.

Well, it ran at 40 FPS on my Dell Dimension 8400 which has a Pentium 4 with 3.8 Ghz if the camera is at a certain angle. And can't I simply set the frame skip to a rediculous amount so it looks like its fast?

You mean it ran well on a PS that was 2.5 times more powerful than the dell inspiron Mini you're talking about ? what a coincidence ...

you underestimate pcsx2 games.. most of them need a decent system and netbooks and 8 year old desktops are pretty weak.
