I've never had an issue with the stable release crashing in this fashion.

In terms of how it should handle that game crash? Well, I don't know exactly, I've done stupid stuff to my PS1 and PS2 games with cheat devices, and crashed them, the exaggeration-prone side of me would liken PCSX2Dis crashing outright to if my PS2 started smoking/caught fire every time my game crashed, but I dunno if that is anything but a silly analogy ... mayhap the emulator should just not crash, stop emulating, reset itself even perhaps, just... not crash... (an option to autosave projects, recover is something I think would be beneficial as well, even though we all should be saving often, we're human, and sometimes get wrapped up in our discoveries, and what we are looking at in the game code, and it just ... slips our mind. ).
