RE: PS3 Controller on 64 bit windows 2.0!
I need some help.
I want to play with my ps3 controller because it will be easier.
I got to the point where I installed the driver "libusb"
I opened the file "libusb fix" and did everything right up to step 5.
However, it tells me to open cmd and hold CTR+SHIFT+ENTER and type in "bcdedit.exe /set TURNING ON"
The boot configuration data store could not be opened. access is denied.
It tells me to restart. After that it tells me to run the sixaxis64.exe file, push the PS button, and then run the program again.
however, i get this message, The application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect.
I even downloaded 2010 Microsoft Visual C++.
What am i doing wrong?

Yes I am a newb, dont yell at me too hard.

RE: PS3 Controller on 64 bit windows 2.0!
Bumping an age old post here, but I got my controller to work, so I thought I might as well share the method.

I followed all the instructions in the OP, and had my controller working, without analog. Further, I got a 'side-by-side configuration' error from the sixaxis64 file.. gave up on that.

My solution was motioninjoy. Check out their website at motioninjoy.com. After following their guide, and unplugging my ps3 so as to not have any problems setting the controller up, everything works perfect.

If you've run outta options, it might be worth the time to check it out.

Good luck!

Adding to that:
If you setup motioninjoy to emulate a XBOX360 pad, even the rumble feature will work with Lilypad.
That's fully working analogues, rumble and all keys on Win7 x64. If you're lucky, you may even get it working with bluetooth.

Cedricloi, do you know where that tutorial can be found elsewhere? The page your linked to seems to have been hijacked.

RE: PS3 Controller on 64 bit windows 2.0!
I'm really fed up of dealing with this 3rd-Party software for PS3 Controllers (ie. Motioninjoy).

I can't stress enough how much I dislike Motioninjoy.
The Number 1 reason why I dislike this software would have to be: It uses the Internet Explorer Interface.
Just have a normal interface (ie. Just like a normal dialogue window you see in Windows) as well as not needing to be connected to the Internet ffs.

Lately I've been using that driver made by a Japanese coder - ds3drv. It's worked the best for me so far (can't have rumble support though on 64bit). But even that driver has issues.

Meh, I might have a Playstation-like Controller coming through the mail that should work on Windows right out of the box soonish.

Ivy Bridge 3770K @ 3.9GHz - MSI TwinFrozr GTX680 4GB...

I've been trying to do this but once I get to the step where you choose the new driver for the controller for the playstation 3 controller. But when I choose the .inf it says that the driver was not digitally signed and won't allow me to continue. Ideas?
