Located here is the driver required to have the PS3 controller function on the PC:

http://www.mediafire.com/?e2heojw0m1n

Run "sixaxisdriver.exe" install it and afterwards you should be able to configure the controller like a normal gamepad in PCSX2.

Tested on Windows XP.

After installing and loading the driver and plugging in the PS3 controller via USB connection in PCSX2 go to Config -> Controllers and select the PAD1 tab if you are using the LilyPAD plugin. (This step varies depending on which version of PCSX2 you are using)

Configure each key in the settings to the respective key on the PS3 controller.
