PS3 controller

My Laptop can detect/recognize my ps3 controller but when i open pcsx2 i cant use it... i dont know how to use in pcsx2 ... pls help

The real question is: Do it work in Windows itself? try the builtin test/calibrate feature. It must show up either in the Control Panel or inside the "Devices and printers" under the "Start" if Windows 7.

Anyway, before any pad can be used it need to be actually configured in the plugin, I mean actually binding the buttons. Although it may look backward it's a very useful feature that allows for maximal flexibility. That's done opening the "pad1" tab and clicking each and every botton and action the equivalent in the physical pad.
