Even though it was a hoax, are the things said earlier in the thread still true? Would working on the PS1 side of things really help improve PS2 compatibility?

In theory, yes. It assists in increasing accuracy of PS2 emulation.

In actuality, it would really depend on how they built it.

Well, the cat's out of the bag. To be fair, having the FreeImage.dll in the main directory totally ruined it. You guys should have hidden it in some directory so it wasn't so immediately obvious Tongue

Yeah, I couldn't. Or at least, I didn't realize how until well after I released it.

To be fair though, there is some hidden stuff. In the plugins directory, look for PSXCore.dll and IOP.dll. Rename then to .png files.



Meanwhile here is that source everyone asked for:

Also note that the final DATA line repeats for about 13k lines of code, in order to pad the executable to the same size as normal PCSX2.
