Pcsx2 1.4.0 perfoming worse then 1.2.1 on my System
#1
Hello guys, first of all congratulations for the new release and a great thanks goes to all the people who have tried to bring us the PS2 magic on our pc and laptops Smile
Guys i have one issue... On Pcsx2 1.2.1 i ran most of my games at 4x native with FXAA on and got almost 100% speed... When i try 1.4.0 i am seeing some perfomance drop that reach to -50%... Let me give you and example.... when i play Silent Hill 2 i get 114 fps on indoor scenes (turbo on) and 73 fps on outdoor scenes... I can even run at 2560 - 2560 internal resolution.
When i test the game in 1.4.0 i get almost the half fps... In 1920x1080 without FXAA i get barely 100% speed... And this happens with almost every game i use with 1.4.0... Im just curious cause i know the new version should run faster or the same as the older... Or maybe my laptop can't handle 1.4.0? I've tried tweaking the settings and still nothing...

My system specs are :
Dell Laptop
Intel Core I7 4510U
4GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia Ge force 840M

Also, make sure that your laptop is plugged in and you have your power plan set to "High Performance".

This is probably the changing factor yeah. You have more speedhacks enabled in 1.2.1 vs. 1.4.0 where it's at default lol.
