you can still set skipdraw hack to 1 to get a fps boost.
think about trying latest svn with mtvu hack too...

I find that hard to believe...

1080p=1920x1080 resolution. 6x scaling = 6 times the native resolution of the game. VP2's native resolution is 640x448 so using 6x scaling would make it render at 6*(640x448)=3840x2688. So yeah it's either 6x scaling OR 1080p (=1920x1080) And for the resolution 6x scaling comes up with, you will need some godlike graphics card Tongue

Yes, I know what 1080p (progressive) means. However, I was not clear in what I was trying to ask though. I was asking what kind of system you would need to play VP2 in a 1920x1080 window with 6x scaling at full speed? Is PCSX2 performance based more from CPU or GPU or both?

Your processor is pretty decent, but not a "power-house" by any means with PCSX2.

Your GPU (just one; since that's all PCSX2 will use) is in about the same catagory as your processor. It should always handle some up-scaling, like 2x at least, but any more will depend on the game. Just don't expect 6x native with most any game, since even the greatest card out now will not always be capable...

If your after performance,
put the internal resolution down to native.
You can alway raise it later, and test your limit then.

Have you used any Speedhacks at all?
The can help a great deal,
but can do nothing if a GPU limitation is in the way.

I tried a few speed hacks based on searching on the forum here, but even at native 640x448 (or even 16x9 anamorphic 853x480) I get what seems to be audio slow down.

I am unaware of any system that can run vp2 with 6x scaling I don't think such a machine exists, anyways I'm pretty sure any upscaled res over you monitor resolution is just a waste of video bandwidth since directx will auto scale it down.

N38.870746,W-77.055423 Guarantee you'll find a system that can Dual boot VP2 at these coordinates+^_^+ I'm sure we'll be able to buy one in a decade or so+^_^+ (can you tell I'm bored?)

6x scaling is definitely possible...... with a 3GB video card :3

far as i can tell VP2 isn't a bandwidth problem
