Hmm, that's weird. It's probably a problems with the code, not sure if I'll be much more help. I think Jesalvin was going somewhere with that chmod thingy. With the permissions, it might be xquartz that doesn't have permission to open pcsx2 or something like that.

even if it may be a security failure, you could try chmod 777 instead, just for testing purposes.

I had to right click and change permissions manually for each file in the entire pcsx2.app directory tree. Try this and then try to run the shell script in pcsx2.app/Contents/Resources/pcsx2.

thats the slow way to change all permissions.
fast way is to select the folder containing them all, change its permissions, then click the little gear icon for the option menu and select 'apply to enclosed items'.
that will make the permissions of the folder applied to every item inside it.
