Persona 4 Cheat error
#1
Ok, so I run was running persona 4 on my PCSX2 09.7 and I saw that I actually had a cheat in the cheat folder. It was a .pnatch file. So I knew it would work. Now I also added my own cheat and called it hax.pnatch (I didn't know it had to be specific numbers). So when I enabled cheats patches...it said this:[wx] can't open file 'cheats\dedc3b71.pnach' (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.) I have the file in both the cheats folder in the root folder and in the documents. What am I doing wrong? When I checked my Hex edditor the cheat is supposed to be for Inf Money Inf Health...I think thats it. And the hax.pnatch cheat was supposed to be for lvl 99 immidietly. Whats going on?

I dunno a thing about cheating Wink but the hax.pnach won't work cause of the missing CRC of the game you trying to cheat on (that's what the numbers are). You have to rename the .pnach file with that CRC numbers. Also make sure the file isn't opened in another program when running PCSX2 so the file shouldn't be protected by the OS.

You can find the CRC for game in the console window when the ELF is loaded. Enable that under Menu->misc->Show Console.

It's in the line:

ELF (cdrom0:\SLUS_202.16;1) CRC=0x79B8A95F, EntryPoint=0x00100008

For renaming the .pnach use the numbers only. So in this example it would be "79b8a95f.pnach"

In PCSX2 enable the console window thru the menu under misc->Show Console. Load the Persona 4 iso. Run the game to the start screen or whatever loading screen. Then go to the console window and find the line like this:

"ELF (cdrom0:\SLUS_202.16;1) CRC=0x79B8A95F, EntryPoint=0x00100008" (example)

The CRC is that "0x79B8A95F". This' not Persona 4 so the CRC is ofc another one Wink

Rename the cheat to that numbers.pnach. Like "79b8a95f.pnach".

Done. Hopefully.
