Phenom 965 BE , what mobo to get to experience MAX performance !
Hi guys Tongue
I wanted to go for Phenom 965 BE & ATI 6870 & some guys told me that to not go for Motherboard with Onboard VGA card , so i started to go for Non onboard Ones ! & they Told me that 890 Chip is best but Since i am not Ocing & not Crossfiring then they said that 790 Can be 100 % Enough too !

USB 3 is not important For me , sata 3 too !
I need 100% ( max ) performance from Both CPU & vga card that i choosed With no Limitation & Bottleneck ! so I gonna List Few GIGA & asus Mobo options & you Please Do this Things :

1.Select The Best in Performance
2.Remove Bad ones from list To make things more Clear
3.the Mobos that you thing will Provide me 100% & wont limit my CPU & vga then let them be In the List , thanks a lot .
4.& please say Will 790 Chip be A limitation for me in my condition ?

List is this :

ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 6+2
ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme 890FX 8+2
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO 8+2

GA-MA790FXT-UD5P 8+2
GA-MA790XT-UD4P 8+2
GA-790XTA-UD4 8+2
GA-790XT-USB3 8+2
ASRock 890FX DELUXE3 ( i worry about its Quality only ! )

Thanks a lot Biggrin

If you want the best among the ones you've mentioned, ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme. Seriously, though, whichever motherboard you choose, I don't think you'll be limited in any way since you're not overclocking nor are you running CrossFire. If all you want is a stock CPU and single GPU set-up, any of those motherboards will be fine.

Ok but what about Power Desing ? first one is great option but its 6+2 rest are 790 chip but with 8+2 power design , which one is better , stronger chip or stronger PD

You only care about that if overclocking. 8+2 power phase means you can push more power to the CPU so you can overclock higher without frying your board. At stock, it doesn't really matter.

Well "they" told you wrong and obviously don't know much about AMD chipsets. There is no single problem with chipsets with integrated GPU. If you install discrete graphics disable onboard one and that is it. Neither of this chipsets will draw your performance down, main difference is in features and number of pci-e lanes. There is no need to go for older 7xx chipset unless you find them chip. And it is always better to buy motherboard with better power regulation especially for x4 and x6 Phenoms. Also ASRock bad days are behind them. ASRock 880G Extreme3, 890GX Extreme3/Extreme4 are good motherboards and if you find them chip go for it.

ASRock 880G Extreme3
ASRock 890GX Extreme3/Extreme4
ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3
GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H

You can go for ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3, ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme or GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 and such, but it would be waste of many especially if you don't plan crossfire.

OK ok , as i see guys are saying this :

1.go for new 890 CHIP & forget 7 series ( because they are OLD & useless )
2.Go for Better Power Design even if your Not OCing your Pushing More power to your CPU ( better performance )
3.it doesnt matter if you go for mobo with Onboard VGA card ! because when disabled it wont Consume even 1% from your Whole SYSTEM .

what i was thinking about these 3 things is :

1.700 chip or 800 is not Important if your not Ocing then , no difference , but anyway i think 890 is better .
2.i realy dont know if Power Desing is for Natrual Usage or only For Ocing , if its for Natrual usage too then i should forget about 6+2 & get 8+2 , no ?
3.i dont feel that good about Onboard GFX , till i get 6870 i realy dont need that , & i am afraid of it .

Oh i am so Confused , can you say if i am thinking right or wrong about these 3 Things ? can you answer them ? plz help , i wont OC , i need only Max performance of CPU & cheap Mobo , notlike Iv formula !

Give us computer shop where you would like to buy your mobo than it would be easier to recommend something.
