Please help me with my errors and problems
#1
So every time I install PCSX2, I get a new problem. This time, my configuration doesn't save. I installed it to my program files if that matters. Every time I load it up it says it must be configured. I go ahead and configure it as follows:

Graphics: ZeroGS 0.97.1 - Because I have a 330m, which should work. Please correct me if I'm wrong for this and of course the rest.
Sound: SPU2-X 1.1.0 - It's "the best" and has no requirements that I know of.
First Controller: Lilypad 0.9.9 - No requirements, it works with my Dualshock.
Second Controller: Lilypad 0.9.9 - "This field is completely obsolete."
Cdvdrom: Gigaherz's CDVD Plugin 0.7.0 - No requirements (other than a CD drive of course), I'll note here that I am going to be using CDs and not isos.
Dev9: Null
USB: Null
FireWire: Null
Bios: USA v0.230(20/02/2008) Console in accordance with my Bios and discs and PS2.

Set bios directory: Set to /Pcsx2/bios, where I have dragged my bios which are -
SCPH-90001_USA_Con_0230_20080220_v181_[7BA8763D].mem
SCPH-90001_USA_Con_0230_20080220_v181_[7BA8763D].nvm
SCPH-90001_USA_Con_0230_20080220_v181_[7BA8763D].rom0
SCPH-90001_USA_Con_0230_20080220_v181_[7BA8763D].rom1
SCPH-90006_BIOS_VX_HK_220.BIN

Set plugins directory:Set to /Pcsx2/plugins, where all of the plugins are.

[I really hope this isn't something obvious I'm missing out on. I've read the entire configuration post.

Thanks,
Ryan

Try installing it to a place like C:\PCSX2 and not the "program files" folder and also running as admin (right click).

Also try the latest beta:

Thanks, I followed your directions and got farther than ever. Now it loads the PS2 OS completely, and gives me the screen Browser and System Configuration. I mapped my controller, and all plugins work. Here they are:

GS: ZeroGS 0.97.1
PAD: SSSPSX PAD Pressure Mod 1.7.1 (The other one didn't work with my controller)
SPU2: SPU2-X r3702m 1.4.0
CDVD: cdvdGigaherz (r3429) 0.8.0
USB: Null
FW: Null
Dev9: Null

It seems to be unable to load the CD I have in my drive (happens to be Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm), and I have the drive set in the configure panel to the right drive. Here's my log when running it:

Have you tried other games? Could be this game isn't compatible.
I suggest you switch to GSdx, ZeroGS is very outdated.

I just tried some more games and they were both computability level 2 which means it gets to the intro but it doesn't, even after switching my graphics to SSE41 (not that that would make a difference I think). Also, the reason I'm setting this up is for NFL 2K5 which has a compatibility level of two... I'm guessing that won't work?

Game's that won't go further than intro are not recommended to try (try a playable one instead Tongue2), NFL 2k and NHL 2k games are not compatible yet as far as I know.

Well I hope it will be soon, or at least come eventually, but if not I only wasted like $15 by buying NFL 2k5 online. I might buy a PS2 again just for that game. I'm using bios from years ago back when I had a PS2 of course.

Then you are breaking our rules, you are required to own the PS2 (currently) that you are using the BIOS from, keeping software from a device which has been sold on is illegal and we cannot allow this on the forum.

I suggest you take your own advice there and buy a ps2 Smile a second hand one will be pennies.
