Poor performace...despite resonable specs...
#1
Hello all.

I've tried both 0.9.6 and the 1474 beta.

While trying to play SRT: OG (Super Robo Taisen: Original Generations) framerate tends to fluctuate ranging from ~60FPS all the way down to ~19FPS. This wasn't too much of a problem at first, since it stayed...mostly...in the playable range of FPS. Until I got later on in the game where I started getting graphical glitches galore and FPS never going above 25...making the game unplayable.

Any tips on how to help with this? I'd rather not spend more money on a PS2 and SwapMagic (spent enough on a few SRT games @ PlayAsia as it is).

PS. Specs should be in the sig.

Is ripping it from a friend's PS2 illegal?

*facepalm* I should have been a bit more descriptive.

I knew I was going to get these games, so I took the time to rip it from my friend's PS2.

My apologies for the confusion.

PS. Is it odd for a Japanese game to run in PCSX2 with a US bios? Dunno why...but it does.

You have to own the actual console yourself to have the bios file legally from it. PCSX2 will play any game region with any bios

No, we never do, at least not when the OP clearly states that he does not own a PS2 console. So JerichoKru until you do own a ps2 console I'm closing the thread. Feel free to PM me if you get one and I will re-open it.
