Possible Problem with PCSX2 1.0
#1
So I just updated to 1.0 and all of my cheat pnaches work except for FF12. I did not have the pnach before I updated to 1.0 but I still think that it might be a compatibility problem. Why are my codes not working for FF12?! I usually always get my codes to work and I've never had a problem with using codes. But this pnach wont work. Why? This is driving me crazy. THe console keeps saying "No cheats found"

1. Joker codes (The ones that start with a letter) don't work with PCSX2, there's no way around that.
2. PCSX2 cheats need to be converted if they are not in RAW format, plus some of them that start with a 0 or a 1 need to be replaced with a 2.
3. The cheat converter on the site doesn't work, the cheating system changed since then. (it needs urgently to get removed/notify that it is not working anymore or replaced with a new one)
4. Oh dear, that quite embarrassing ! You just pasted cheats that you don't even know what they are or what they do or why they are important which sadly is a fail. You need to learn how to use cheats first! Tongue2

FF12 has anti-cheat in it. And the master codes don't work on PCSX2. that could b a reason as well. I couldn't get ANY FF12 codes to work either

So besides the very unhelpful first comment reply....

What you guys are telling me is that no one has been able to cheat on PCSX2 while playing FF12 NTSC version?

That's the first time I heard about this.
I was making codes for that game long ago with ArtMoney and they worked fine.

Gandy741 there is also memory card save editor for that game if you can't get the codes to work

Use Codebreaker in PCSX2. Much easier (why do people not use this?).
AMD Phenom II X4 975 BE OC 4.0 GHz, Corsair Hydro H70
AMD Radeon HD 6990 OC, Accelero Twin Turbo
ASUS Crosshair V Formula 990FX

1.Not everyone have it
2.The database is with codes for NTSC games only...to add codes for other region games or just add codes is real pain...isn't it faster to just open Notepad=>paste some codes=>save with the correct crc and you're done
3.It's MUCH easier to enable\disable\change codes while playing when you use the pnach system

MANY people say that pnach is a pain. I have a Day 1 collection of 1104 games/updates which is legal to download.
But if you don't have Codebreaker and don't want to buy it, I suppose pnach is much better than nothing.
BTW, there are also PAL codes which are unofficial, but they do work.

I know that are are day 1 collections of PAL and NTSC games but still...for example if you want to disable some code or change the value...that's impossible with codebreaker while the game is still ruining.

With Pnach you just open the file with nodepad,do your changes Esc=>Resume the emulator and the new codes will be loaded.

I don't know what so "pain" to use the pnach system. With codebreaker you first have to load it,then choose your codes and the start the game.

And if you are saying that adding codes to the CB database while using pcsx2 is easier than using notepad, then I don't know what to say
