Post your PCSX2 cheats-patches here!
Thanks very much it works !
To find the good element I try different digits at the end of the code by myself, but it works

I wonder if there is a code to regenerate life or to have attack x2 and defense x2 just by pressing circle, like if regenerate the musou jauge

Thanks again Wink

Removed codes. Somehow one of the cheats still corrupts Saves. -_-

looking for the chests for Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition (SLUS_21361) [NTSC-U]

I'm mostly looking for Max red orbs and items, other then that, I don't really care of. >w>

I beat DMC3 on the ps2, but I'm replaying it on PCSX2 since my copy doesn't work well with Vergil... >w> and I always play DMC on Halloween. lol

Thanks. I'll test them and let you know if they work or not. ^_^

I removed the Silent Hill 2 Codes I posted earlier. For some reason they're still corrupting a Save randomly. No idea which one is causing it or WHY for that matter. But turning off all cheats seems to simply stop the Save corruption occurring. And thinking I had figured out which code caused it..... I went ahead and continued playing, but now one of my files corrupted again losing hours of work. So I'm just about done with this game for now lol. Too annoyed with it. Tongue

I am fairly new to the PCSX2 and Cheat Engine combination, so please forgive me if the question seems dumb:

How do I input the pnatch file into the Cheat Engine?

As far as I know, there is no such a tool. The following steps are a manual way to input a record onto Cheat Engine.

1. Click the Add Address Manully button on Cheat Engline.
2. Enter fields like the Address from your pnach file and click the OK button.
3. Do double click on any of fields of the record or select R-click -> Change record.

A meaning of the most left digit of an address of a pnach formatted code and of Cheat Engine are different. here is a conversion table.

pnach formatted code -> Address, Type for Cheat Engline
patch=1,EE,0aaaaaaa,byte,000000dd -> 2aaaaaaa, Byte
patch=1,EE,0aaaaaaa,short,0000dddd -> 2aaaaaaa, 2 Bytes
patch=1,EE,0aaaaaaa,word,dddddddd -> 2aaaaaaa, 4 Bytes
patch=1,EE,0aaaaaaa,extended,000000dd -> 2aaaaaaa, Byte
patch=1,EE,1aaaaaaa,extended,0000dddd -> 2aaaaaaa, 2 Bytes
patch=1,EE,2aaaaaaa,extended,dddddddd -> 2aaaaaaa, 4 Bytes

Other pnach formatted codes like below are not suppored by Cheat Engline.

patch=1,EE,3xxxxxxx,extended,yyyyyyyy
patch=1,EE,4xxxxxxx,extended,yyyyyyyy
patch=1,EE,5xxxxxxx,extended,yyyyyyyy
patch=1,EE,6xxxxxxx,extended,yyyyyyyy
patch=1,EE,7xxxxxxx,extended,yyyyyyyy
patch=1,EE,Dxxxxxxx,extended,yyyyyyyy
patch=1,EE,Exxxxxxx,extended,yyyyyyyy

tadatada, very informational guide on finding your pnach codes in cheat engine. I have learned that the way to find cheat engine codes in a PS2 game running on PCSX2 is by searching between 0x20000000 - 0x22000000 in cheat engine.

Usually the codes (whether they are 0aaaaaaa or 2aaaaaaaa on the pnach) are located at 2aaaaaaa in cheat engine. When a pnach code is running and you find the code at 00000000 2aaaaaaa in cheat engine, you will not be able to edit the value.

I don't have anything else to add other than to say that before I figured this out it was much harder to search for codes. Narrowing down your searches between 0x20000000 and 0x22000000 in cheat engine made it easier to find single byte codes. If I find a code in cheat engine and want to put it in a pnach file at 2aaaaaaa it usually works, but I'm not sure why some of the codes are 0aaaaaaa or 1aaaaaaaa.

Regardless, it's an important tip that I learned through my work with PCSX2 and I'm glad you posted about it. I'm wondering, when you do code searches in cheat engine, do you search between 0x20000000 - 0x2FFFFFFF or 0x20000000-0x22000000?

I usually don't use Cheat Engine but an other similar tool. Anyway, I virtually search between 0x20000000 - 0x22000000 because emulated PS2 RAM starts at 0x20000000 and its size is 32 MB. (0x02000000)
