I noticed that the USA version of Blood Omen 2 on the compatability list shows as RED as unplayable.. well the EU version works.. kind of.. I think its purely because my laptop specification wise isn't up to the task.. when I get my new desktop pc I will try on that and report what happens.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 @2GHZ
RAM: 2GB DDR2
GPU: 512mb ATI Mobility Radeon X1600

PCSX2 0.9.6

Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 (SLES-507.71)

Loads opening video VERY jerky, loads menus, loads to "loading level" screen, after a while the screen goes black and hangs.

PCSX2 0.9.7 r3113 configuration:
Video: GSDX 0.19 SSE2 (2048x1536 internal resolution, NLoop hack, Pixel Shader 3, Texture Filtering, Alpha Correction, Logarithmic Z)
Sound: SPUX-2 (Nearest, disabled audio effects, async mix [less annoying and faster than time stretch])
Control: Lilypad 0.10.0 (r2930) - Left Analog: WSAD Right Analog: IJKL Start: G Select: H Cross: X Square: Q Triangle: E Circle: Z Analog: R Mouse: M L1: 1 L2: 2 L3: ~ R1: 9 R2: 0 R3:-
Emulation settings: Round mode and clamping mode nearest and none. EE cyclerate -50%, VU cycle stealing maximum, wait loop detection, mVU flag hack, FFX videos fix.

Final Fantasy X NTSC-U (SLUS 203.12) 55-66-80 FPS (with speedhacks, otherwise 30-40 FPS or less) @ 4.25 ghz w/ HT

I am posting a video on Youtube later to show my PC setup and the game but I'm sure there isn't much to disbelieve I mean this isn't a very demanding game, I feel like I'm playing some PC port of this when it's in fullscreen because I'm using the keyboard.

I'm not running 250x just yet, still working on getting this board 24/7 stable, in a few days I'll have it or by the time the next bios comes out for my asus ch4..

The screenshots are showing software mode rendering on a x6 core close to 4ghz.

Rest of the plugins are set to null.

Copied my post from the TT thread. I tried attaching the images to the forum but they're too big in size. However, they're hosted on a fast, private server. If any of this is incorrect, you're free to remove the post, I'd not mind.

I was experimenting with 0.9.7 and TT quite a while today and found out the crucial hacks needed to be enabled to fully enjoy it. However, there are currently two major bugs which spoil the fun a bit. One bug is like a giant shadow glowed to the bike. On some tracks it's more noticeable and on others it's less noticeable but it's there. The other crucial bug is when you run a replay. It's obviously some sort of rendering issue, maybe alpha related or something like that. I was thinking first that maybe it relates to the blur effect used in the game but later on I noticed blur works just fine. Last thing worth mentioning, I'm experienced some disturbance in the sound, it evens feels like the sound plugin somehow cripples the FPS. Sad

Spec used for what you see below:

Windows 7 32bit
E8500 @ 3.16Ghz (I think that's stock speed)
ATI 5770 HD 1GB DDR5
2gb of RAM

Hacks and settings used:

Emulation Settings:

EE/IOP:

Chop / Zero & None, Flush to Zero & Denormals are Zero are ticked on.

VUs:

Chop / Zero & Extra, Flush to Zero & Denormals are Zero are ticked on.

SPEEDHACKS:

INTC, IOP X2, mVU Flag Hack (this hack fixes "TIME TRIAL" icon graphics), EE Cyclerate @ 3 (2 may work just as good)

GAME FIXES DISABLED.

GSDX (SSE4, D3D11) Settings:

Texture filtering: ON (I noticed that this also applies a tad bit of AA so if you have AA already applied in your card settings you may want to remove that and keep texture filtering ON)
Offset Hack: ON (you need to go into GSdx.ini and add "allowhack=1" to reveal this option)

* EVERYTHING ELSE IS DEFAULT *

General comment: For best performance, go over your graphics card settings and make sure nothing is forced, stuff like vertical-sync turned ON all the time can severely impact your FPS.

Anyways, for your enjoyment, here're some fresh new 0.9.7 720p shots (downsized from 1080p) from TT.

This game is particularly amazing when you take a fast bike on the Nurburgring. Smile
