Powerful (future) feature suggestion
#1
hello code masters!
could be possible in the future to have a "configuration per game" system?
i noticed some games play well with opengl but some others are terribly glitched, switching to dx11 fixes it but corrupt other games.. same vor mtvu multi threading.. and so on.
to have a specific configuration per game would be very useful instead of everytime changing settings to have best results
just an idea Smile
thanks

This has been asked about many times, the current solution is to use one of the available frontends Smile

You can also just put each game into its own folder and paste pcsx2 into those folders, thats what i do, then i made my own exe's to launch pcsx2 with game image and i launch them from Launchbox

this is a really great idea! a little bit unpractical when you have to upgrade PCSX2.. but hey!
thanks

There is also a way to make shortcuts that load a certain iso with a different configuration that is stored in a separate folder (that folder has the files from the "inis" folder).

For example, this old shortcut of mine (adding an icon is useful too):

C:\Users\Meeee\Documents\pcsx2-v1.5.0-dev-1368-gfc32b74-windows-x86\pcsx2.exe "F:\PS2\Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories\khcom.iso.gz" --fullscreen --cfgpath="C:\Users\Alejandro\Documents\KHCOM config"

Of course, each time your PCSX2 folder name changes, you have to change all shortcuts.

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X670E-F Gaming WiFi

OS: Windows 11

Yess!!
i didnt know you could have separate configuration files... i will adopt this solution!
no problem for the directory name change since i have PCSX2 in a "pcsx2" directory without that version info..
thank you very much!
