Problem With my PCSX
#1
hi guys my pcsx cant run my games in normal speed
the game is : metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty
its lagging very lagging! lags killing me! and the sound slow seems broken
Also the picture is not clear i tried many times editing my configs and speedhacks but still lagging even in default settings
i don't think that the problem is in my laptop... cuz i play modern games like assassin's creed..black ops..and modren warfare 3 in FULL SPEED

i hav asus k43s
intel core i5 2419M 2.3 Ghz
memory 6GB
GPU: nvidia GEFORCE GT 520M CUDA 1GB

please any suggestion?

Try:

1. Download latest PCSX2 SVN and enable recommended speed hacks including MTVU from HERE

2. Tick "Native" in GSdx

3. You don't save power while gaming, set your laptop's power plan to "High Performance"

In Emulation Settings:

EE/IOP tab: Set back clamp mode to "Normal"
Speed hacks tab: Set EE Cyclerate slider to 2 and VU Cycle Stealing to 1

Also, you might want to try MTVU speed hack in latest SVN (link in my previous post), just download and re-configure...

Your laptop's spec almost similar like mine, so I don't think there should be any problem...

Make sure you got a nice cooler though, PCSX2 generate lots of heat when used with laptops... Tongue

depends on which games you'll try to play.
2.3 Ghz may not be enough for the most intensive ones

unfortunately, MGS2 IS intensive
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
