Alright ,this problem appeared just now on this version.I have windows XP and the previous PCSX didn't got this problem.Im trying to boot from CDVD ,i browse and go to where my game CD is and select the .img file that shows me.Then i get this.Please help?

I don't know what is this IOPRP300.img but it seems you backed it as an audio CD?

The IOPRP300.img is the file that is used from PCSX2 to read the game,and i didn't backed it as audio? Plus as i said only to the new PCSX2 0.9.7 the beta one happens.The game opens fine with the PCSX2 0.9.6.So am iasking what could be the possible problem? And if the beta version reads it as a Audio? how to make it to read it normaly?

The 0.9.7 is different in how it read the files... if You have enabled "Iso" instead "plugin" it will use the builtin ISO reader, and that creates issues with any DVD/CD actually being seen by the Gigahertz plugin. So, make sure you don't have anything mounted, neither in a physical drive or virtual one, or force Gigahertz to "no disc".

Select the ISO only from the browse option in the GUI, start the game with the boot CDVD (fast).

Alternatively you can use the Linus ISO plugin and select the img from it but in this case you must make sure "Plugin" and not "Iso" is selected in the GUI.

Attention. Avoid using virtual driver with PCSX2 because the SPTD they use is known to have problems with certain features in windows Vista and 7, issues which the plugins exposes and may lead to hangs and crashes. Gigahertz plugin still is the choice if playing from actual disc (what should be avoided for performance sake).

Both of the things you told me failed.And im using Windows XP not vista,not windows 7.At times i get errors saying that my hardware or drivers are not combatible.I will try finding an .iso game file to play. Thanks for trying to help thou.I just find it weird the version of PCSX2 0.9.6 opened the DVD game just fine.The 0.9.7 Does not,maybe it needs fix at that?I don't know,but i will try .iso files now.

I tried to play an .elf file too but nothing,problem again saying either insusficient resources or not combatible hardware/drivers.

Well neither .iso works,same problem with the .elf ,it doesn't run anything.

it's ok, good luck then. No useful information was added since the first post where the log showed attempt to read an audio file. No, I'm wrong, it's now known for sure it's XP and we don't need to guess it anymore.

The message about hardware compatibility issue is caused for that already said before, wrong combination between Iso/plugin usage.

You don't need to get mean,plus i said that it's XP from my 1st post.And if you want logs fine,but i will have to try all ways and store all of them,i will post like 5-6 pages of logs,if not more.Cause i tried everything,all files all plugins,changes bios,used all options and nothing works,it either says the ISO thing that my 1st post says about,or that my computer hardware/drivers are incompatible. Also when tried the .elf with the LinuzIso thing ,it brought up another error.But ok,wait ,i will be posting logs soon.

Alright,you wanted logs? Here is me trying everything ,or almost everything.With attempts to .img .elf and .iso files.Messing/trying all the options of UI per file try and also messing with the CDVD pluggin at every trial.If you want i can try changing bios as well.I have .bin which it doesn't read,i have .rom1 .rom2 .mec .nvm .erom . versions 1.60 and 2.00 .I tried with almost all and both versions.But im not sure if i ever tried the "right" combo of all choices and options to be able to play.If someone has WindowsXP and has managed to play normaly the PCSX2 0.9.7, please tell me how,what plugins,bios and UI settings/configurations you have,so i can set it straight too and play.
