Problem running Okami
#1
Hello everyone I've been looking around for a while about a problem I'm having with Okami. I have the iso file right where it should be along with the others and they still work fine, but whenever I try to run Okami using full boot it gets past the playstation logo and stops right after a a black screen. the FPS is still going at the top, but nothing else happens.

Here's a report of everything that happens when I try to boot it up.

It does this everytime and yet I've seen plenty of videos of people playing Okami perfectly fine. What gives? Also this isn't using a physical disc just an image. Before you say anything about piracy I do own the game, but on Wii.

Thanks for the help!

if mounted into a 3rd party software like Daemon Tools, unmount it.
then perform a fast-boot.

As jesalvein says unmount it from any image program.
Also try to redump your iso from the original DVD, you may have a bad iso (happened to me a couple times ).
If it doesn't work then probably the DVD is scratched and unreadable.

My iso may just be bad. It's a shame though since I love this game. I lent the Wii version to a friend and I got the urge to play it again as well. I must be doing something wrong if everyone else can get it right.

Wait..what? I thought the name of the ISO looked a bit suspicious Tongue2

I thought owning the game on another system (Wii) & then obtaining the same game on a different system (PS2) without actually purchasing the game for the *PS2* is considered piracy?

But a few years back, I remember Okami actually working on PCSX2 when I paid my only real life Friend a 4 week visit a few years ago.

yup, I missed that one.
If you don't own it on PS2, that's still piracy.
