Problem with .pnach from 0.9.6 r1888 to 0.9.8
#1
Hello,

I usually don't make threads cuz I try to look really hard through forums for my answers, but I just couldn't find any help about this. So here goes.

I've been using a .pnach for FF12 [NTSC US] taken from the patch thread here in the forums - specifically Jlagreen's - and it's been working fine in 0.9.6 r1888.

I recently upgraded the emulator to 0.9.8 and put the .pnach in the cheats folder. When I start up FF12, I get this error in the console and my cheats don't work:
"[wx] Failed to convert file "cheats\0779fbdb.pnach" to Unicode.
No cheats found. Resuming execution without cheats..."

Did the cheat coding change for 0.9.8? Is there a way to convert the .pnach I already have to make it work with 0.9.8?

I'd appreciate any help on the matter. Thanks.

Open .pnach with Notepad and re-save it in UTF-8 format.
