Problem with running PCSX2 (due to DirectX)
#1
Hi everyone.

I've been trying to properly setup and launch PCSX2, but I'm having some problems, and I hope someone can help me out.

I'm trying to do it on my laptop:

HP Probook 455 G1
CPU: AMD A8-4500M with Radeon HD Graphics (4 Cores x 1,9GHZ)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7640G + 8750M Dual Graphics (768MB + 2048MB)
RAM: 4GB DDR3 806MHz
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

I have installed PCSX2 1.2.1 (r5878). Upon running it it asks me about plugin configuration - so far so good!

But when I press Next it asks me to download DirectX. I have pressed Yes and downloaded it, still asks the same. I've downloaded the offline installation, still nothing. I even edited the registry to "fool" my computer into thinking I have an older version of DX, so I can install a fresh copy over it. Same thing.

I've restarted the computer between each installation, of course.

And after that, I get this error, no matter what GS I choose.

If I go with the GSnull setting, it will launch and run the game without any video (the audio works).

I think that the error is related to DX, but I really don't know.

Anyone?

Thanks in advance!

Downloading drivers, even though I believe they're up to date. This piece of crap AMD update software is downloading it at 3 KBPS!

I've already installed DirectX, do you think I should do it again after updating the drivers?

Sometimes the directX web installer detects some up2date version and stops updating even if the installed version is broken.
My experience is so far that the offline version always overwrites everything and can therefore repair broken dx versions.
I would suggest to try the provided link again.

Also make sure you actually install it and not just extract it, seems some people get fooled that way

Do you have a file named d3dx11_43.dll in
C:\Windows\System32\d3dx11_43.dll
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\d3dx11_43.dll
if no,then you don't have the latest directx installed
