Problems with Gran Turismo

Hi all

I'm running PCSX2 on my new laptop, with the following specs:

Intel Core i7 2630qm (2nd Gen i7) @ 2,00ghz with turboboost to 2,90ghz and 4GB DDR3 RAM I have an Nvidia GT 540M videocard on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit.

I've tried Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and it works perfectly, but Gran Turismo 3 has issues, it goes well until you want to select a car and gets worse when starting a race, it goes a bit better when you are underway but still it's sluggish.

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe it's the plugins, settings?

your CPU is way too weak to play this game @ ful speed.
if not done yet, rip your DVD to ISO using imgburn, get latest pcsx2 svn then use MTVU hack and some speehdacks.
but don't expect miracles.

it happen to me too bt3 goes 60fps and infinite world too but when i play ultimate allaice it go to 10-20fps
