Basically when I boot up the game and it gets to the first logo and "loading point" nothing happens after it; only just a blank screen.

Intel Core i7 CPU overclocked to 3.3-3.6 (around there somewhere)

SSSE4 for graphics and SPU2-X for sound.

There aren't much details to give. When you start the game, the logo "SOCOM 3" appears mid-screen, then on the bottom you see a spinning circle representing loading. The screen goes black and should head into the main menu, but instead of doing so, the screen goes black.

Haha, wow. I definitely got past the black screen, but a whole new slew of things is making it up playable. It was worth a try

For an example, the mouse won't work on games Guess that's the beta's settings or do I have to toggle something?

Im having the same trouble with loading socom 3 as well. Hopefully the beta option will help. I also wonder if it is possible to play multiplayer? Id be satisfied with just being able to play the campaign, multiplayer would be pounds and pounds of cake and icing, lol.
