But yeah Ace Combat is problematic. I don't know if it's even in the playable list or not.

*some* versions of Ace Combat are fine, not sure which ones aren't however. i will check and edit my post.

Edit: Ace Combat 4 seems to work fine, only needs the skipmpeg gamefix.

Not in with GSDX hardware mode.

I got the PAL version of the game, it has graphical garbage everywhere. Software mode is fine, but slow, of course.

I thought that software mode was a well known thing with the Ace Combat games but the OPs issue was to do with the collision detection, anyway yes, on a decent machine it runs fine. I get full speed in software mode on my machine.
