Ratchet and Clank 1
#1
Just curious if anyone has tried to get this working (and if they've had any success)..

I can't get past the first cutscene.. the emulator just.. stops, when Clank is supposed to crash-land. 60FPS, blank screen, no sound.

From what I can tell the game actually runs reasonably well (the main menu looks messed up, and runs at 1/4 normal FPS, but everything else seems fine.. at least, everything up until that crash landing..)

I'm using pcsx2pg-svn708 btw.

Also, the game was a bit jumpy for me (randomly went from 40 to 100 FPS).. but it runs perfectly smooth with 2x Cycle rate.

That's with all speedhacks off. (Screenshot is of where the game gets stuck)

I noticed no differences (other than the speed) with the speedhacks off. Sound & graphics were exactly the same.

try an older one? sometimes it seems to be a new fix that breaks an old one.

Just tried it with the PCSX2 Playground v1.0.0395 .exe's.. same basic issue. (Note: I was using the 708 plugins)

Going to try PCSX 0.9.4 in a couple minutes..

Edit: 0.9.4 runs slower, gives blank/black screen @ the same point.

I mean an older pg version, higher than 1.0.0395 and lower than r708

To be honest.. I'm not sure where I would get that Smile

I'm also doubtful it would help. I mean, if 0.9.4 even has the same crash, it's probably a long-standing issue..

Question: is there some sort of.. debugging mode I can turn on?

Technically, yes, as I tried 0.9.4 with all the default plugins.

Going to try the 1.0.0395 plugins now.

no, I mean later plugins, like the ones posted on the 708 post, it's not always core issues you know.
