Really stupid question about frameskip

If I press F4 to disable the fps limit, i can hear a strange noise/whistle coming from the pc..is this normal? Huh

Probably your fan spinning faster to compensate on the higher temperatures.

Couse the temp increase is instant?;P Unless you have a no-name PSU and the "whistle" is coming from there, then close your eyes, count to 10 and when you open them your room will be englightened, just remember the basics, don't try to put out electric fire with water.Laugh

it could be the so called "coil whine" from the psu (having C1E power state enabled can cause this noise in some psu / motherboard), also its pretty bad in some modern corsair psu's.
if you think it could be coil whine you can try to disable C1E with a program like "RealTemp" or in the system bios.

COIL whine more likely depending on the pitch.

however if its doing it when uncapped... its not c1e, its the graphics card

Yep, my guess as well. Some coils are whining, most likely the GPU ones.
(I fixed it on my GTX260 using nail polish xD)
