Rendering games in native 16:9 aspect ratio
#1
I saw in one of the new videos from 1.3.0 a KH2FM game running at 1080p 16:9 HD. I know how to render the game at multiples of PS2 resolution, but how can I render the game in widescreen aspect ratio without just stretching the image?

From what I'm finding throughout the forums, there are many different patches for widescreen. Is it game-dependent? I am trying to play KHII (not Final Mix).

It is.
It'll automatically apply if the .pnach filename's matches your game's CRC

Yeah, like we said, all you have to do is enable it in the menu. All the widescreen patches are already included.

I had to extract them from the included .zip file, but that takes a few seconds.

Why did you have to do that?

It reads from the zip file directly.
