How can you notice the framerate and not the Turbo mode right next to it? Also: who gives a flying duck about my framerate?

RE: Rogue Galaxy - player out of bounds/trolley glitch?
Anyone found a solution to these out of bounds problems? I fly out of bounds all of the time, without hoping on the trolley when walking on this damn planet. The only thing that works for me is spamming F1 to save states and changing the round mode to negative or nearest when the problem occurs. But Jaster moves awkward and the battles are almost unplayable, it's not very convenient.

No, do not change clamping modes, they will not fix anything at all and they're the cause for weird problems like teleporting on the mobs and objects and the binds becoming confused. It doesn't affect the teleporting to the top of the map at all.

Take a look at the picture i have posted in the first page marking the problematic areas. Take the orange route and hope you don't get glitched out. Try to get to a teleporter as fast as possible. I've discovered that the trolley has nothing to do with you teleporting on top of the world until you reach those two tunnels, otherwise it's safe.

Καλησπέρα Biggrin

Actually I managed to clear the damned area and leave the planet. Here's what worked for me. Clamping modes indeed didn't change anything. At first I changed the round modes under EE/IOP. Modes other than Chop/Zero did all crazy weird stuff in movement but nullified the out of bounds problem. It was unplayable though. But then I changed the round mode in VUs. First I think I tried Negative. The out of bounds problem was fixed and movement was normal but a certain area of the game wasn't accessible. The graphics on the ground were corrupted and when you stepped over you were falling in the out of bounds world. Then I tried Positive round mode (under VU). Everything was fixed, I didn't met any problem. I traveled the whole map and everything was right. So I cleared the planet this way.

One funny thing as I was roaming in the out of bounds world, I went into an area that I suppose wasn't meant to be accessible yet. I think it was called Cursed King's something. The monsters were out of my league. Another time again, I went into Angela's and the cutscene was fired.

That's pretty nice info, if you got time consider submitting a testing report in our public compat list Smile

Yeah I will definitely post in the compat forum. But as I am planning to complete the game, I think it would be better to post there after I finish it just to ensure that no other problems will occur.

Besides this particular one, I had another problem in some of the early cut-scenes in the game. All of the problematic cut-scenes were showing events happened in the past of the heroes. So maybe the game renders them with a specific shading effect to create a retro feeling or smth like that and for some reason it gets corrupted in the emulator. I really couldn't see anything in the scenes apart from some vertical brown and black lines and a faded outline of the characters behind this mess...

Anyway what I wanted to say is that I might find other bugs later in the game, so I believe I should post there once I complete it.

That should be fixable by switching GSdx to software mode with F9. Yeah it would be even better to post your results after completing it

Thanks for the tip, I am gonna try it if I meet the problem again. At the moment I have played 26 hours in the game. I am playing like mad these days and I like the game a lot, so I will definitely play it to the end. Which will be coming sooner or later at the rate I am playing Smile So I'll post then!

It's gonna take you a while yet. I wasted 93 full hours to get to the credits, along with time spent leveling weapons for partners and gathering stuff for inventions and whatnot.
