hmm, this is the best settings to gain speed ,
its better if you stick with 0.9.8 cause that one gives you better fps .
btw did you tried everything I mentioned ?
Core i3 9100f 3.6Ghz
RAM=8GB
nvidia GT 1030
pcsx2 version-1.3.1

You can try using the combination of MTVU hack with vu stealing , it might provide a performance boost . You can also try software mode with extra rendering threads set to 3 as a alternative.

I always do that. Even the browser is closed. The only thing running is my anti-virus.

I was doing some more testing with settings (http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Low-end-P...0-settings) and still the same results.
I did notice something tho. At this scenario (http://i.imgur.com/9bmfict.jpg) I get slowdown, but when I climb the stairs I get 60 fps (http://i.imgur.com/4EnlE66.jpg), only to drop down again as soon as I take the last step on it (http://i.imgur.com/9fqEqFN.jpg). At Rosa it is also fine (http://i.imgur.com/RK3Ntnh.jpg).

Maybe Burkaqua just isn't the place for low end CPUs to hang around...

EDIT: Yes Brock I tried everything, separately and everything at once.

Yeah, you have to start upgrading your processor to get a decent performance in moderate and demanding games at pcsx2.

ssakash, vu stealing didn't work, and neither did software mode.

Does it make a difference that I always boot using Fast Mode?

That doesn't make a difference in performance.

Well then I suppose I'll just have to play around the slowdowns until I get a better CPU.
I heard Intel is much better for PCSX2, do I lose performance on PC games if I go that way? Or only on money spent? Tongue

It still bugs me that yesterday the fps was fine, and today it isn't. Maybe it is a hotter day? Maybe the area isn't favorable in game?

I'd say this area us more demanding.
Actually, rogue galaxy is quite an overall demanding game.

Your CPU is a bit under the par, and maybe you should play this game on your ps2 for now if you expect an enjoyable experience.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

I think I will get Burkaqua done on my PS2 and then import the save back to PC, the resolution is much better, since I can play 2x native no problem outside of this area.

Thanks for the help guys.
