Rule of Rose [SLES-54218] FMVs remain black when subtitles appear

Although the videos are viewable and any type of rendering can be used.
videos with subtitles have a bug
When they appear the entire video remain black and makes them impossible to see .
Do you know how to solve this?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

I have PSX2 1.7 
I don't see any files in the log folder

This is a known bug, I keep forgetting to look at it, you could find and download v1.7.4942, that will work.
