Running slow
#1
Just got the a new laptop [HP Envy 15], but God of War is running slowly. It's supposed to run at 60fps and it runs at consistantly 40, making the game extremely easy. Is there something wrong with my configuration or is this laptop not strong enough to handle the game.

Specs:
Code:
Time of this report: 11/20/2010, 21:23:21
   Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)
           Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Model: HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC
               BIOS: Default System BIOS
          Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 720 @1.60GHz(8 CPUs), ~1.6GHz
             Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 4086MB RAM
Page File: 2441MB used, 5730MB available
        Windows Dir: C:\Windows

And my graphic plugin settings in pcx2 are the GSdx (MSVC 15.00, SSE41) 0.1.16 [gsdx-sse4-r3878] with the Direct X11(Hardware) Renderer.

*what is your video card?
*btw we have the same mobile i7 CPU but different HP model mine is the pavillion dv7
anyway that GOW is a pretty demanding 3Dgame,even our i7-720's turbo boost is up to 2.4 GHZ still it's slow and expected the laptop will heat up so fast...best to run on the desktop.
*have you try to set "native" in the GSDX settings it may help a little, set the power plan settings to "High-performance" and your laptop is plugged in the AC power cord.
Main Hub:i5-4670(3.4Ghz Factory Clocked),ATi Radeon HD7770(GDDR5+128-bit+1GB),Win 10 SL(x64),ASUS H8M-E,8GB DDR3 RAM
