Custom make a folder in the .config directory and call it cheats. It's that easy.
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit (occasional Antergos/Arch user)
(I am no longer a Windows user)
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258
GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti

Its not there, i found the solution by myself, thats what i did
1- Open terminal in /usr/games/ / or cd /usr/games/
2- sudo mkdir cheats
3- sudo chown ***youruser**** cheats
4- I moved my cheat file to that folder

Thank you anyway. Smile

I guess the installer should create a folder there called cheats Smile

I just realized that for me pcsx2 is unplayable on linux for performance problems

- Windows 50 fps on pal limited almost 100% of the time
- Linux 15 fps with extreme audio lag and delay with the controller

My specs
i5 650 3.2
HD6670 with amd drivers
4 RAM

Anyway i hope my fix help someone with the same problem

Please post all settings (e.g. by screenshots) of emulation core and gsdx.
Please attach the full emulog after you observed the slowdown.

What are FPS, EE% and GS% readings during slowdowns? How do they compare to the windows version?

Do you compare gsdx in DX9/10/11 mode on windows with OGL mode on linux?

It would be interesting to compare GSdx DX versus GSdx OGL on windows. By the way there is an hidden option that could improve the speed (for heavy primitives game)
Quote:ogl_vertex_storage = 1

Which driver do you have? Catalyst or Mesa?

I don't think there is a slowdown at a certain moment, it appens all the time, I just compare the Windows version against the Linux version, right now i can't give you my average ee and gs readings, im using windows at this moment. I do compare to DX11 in the Windows version.
BTW i forgot to send a screenshot of my video settings, i attach to this post my video settings.

Im using the Catalyst one since playing CSGO feels smoother with it

Hum, go into the slowest scene.

Press shift ctrl F8. And keep shift pressed (or control I never remember). It will register all the input of the GS plugin to create a .gs file in the snaps directory. Be aware it grows very quickly. Compress it with the best option and post it somewhere on the internet.

This way I can replay it on my side and see if I can improve the fps.

By the way your version of PCSX2 seems quite outdated.

Latest release + ogl_vertex_storage = 1 is likely to be much faster.

First upgrade and if it is still too slow, do the .gs stuff.
